Signing up for a Gmail account is a straightforward process. Here are the steps to create a Gmail account for beginners:

Go to the Gmail Sign Up Page:
- Open your web browser and go to www.gmail.com.
- Click on “Create account” at the bottom of the sign-in box.

Choose an Account Type:
- You’ll see options for “For myself” and “To manage my business”. Select “For myself”.

Fill Out the Sign-Up Form:
- First name: Enter your first name.
- Last name: Enter your last name.
- Username: Choose a unique username that will be your new Gmail address (e.g., yourname@gmail.com). Gmail will suggest alternatives if your chosen username is taken.
- Password: Create a strong password. Use a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Confirm password: Re-enter the password to confirm it.

Provide Additional Information:
- Phone number (optional but recommended): This helps with account recovery and security.
- Recovery email address (optional but recommended): This can be another email you use for account recovery.
- Date of birth: Enter your birthdate.
- Gender: Select your gender.

Verify Your Phone Number:
- If you provided a phone number, Google will send a verification code via SMS. Enter the code when prompted and click “Verify”.
